AlwaysNEW online support for LAP modules:|
Not a subscriber? Here’s why AlwaysNEW
may be right for you...
MarkED’s online service includes a wide range of new tools and enrichment materials to make using LAPs even easier, more interesting to students, and more contemporary. AlwaysNEW, in addition to providing a continuing stream of new and updated information and current events, offers instructors many new options: For example, as an alternative to the complete 8-page, 4-color student LAP, the AlwaysNEW service provides a one-page summary (PDF) of the content AND a one-page summary of each objective. As the instructor, for each new LAP you choose how much reading material is appropriate (one page, one page per objective, or the complete 8-page LAP).
Looking for more applications? Check At Work, Contemporary Case Studies, Academic Applications, Computer Applications, and more. Want enrichment? Try the new BeyondUS, Own Your Own, or Here and Now. Trying to integrate chapter activities and curriculum? Look at the 4*DECA pages that address competitive events and chapter activities.
AlwaysNEW includes a different variety of new and expanded options for all new LAPs (and many older LAPs). The range of enrichment and new tools varies by LAP title, including most or all of the elements described below. A single subscription to the AlwaysNEW online subscription includes access to all available LAP modules. Each section (below) is accessible to both students and instructors except as noted:
Possibilities: Career and College

Academic Integration (Instructor access only.)
Here’s a tool to help each instructor document his or her role in

language arts, and social studies, making it easy to prove the
contribution career-tech programs make to core academic skills.

Own Your Own
This continuing entrepreneurship project is developed one
module at a time throughout the entire program. For each LAP
module, students work on a specific application that becomes part
of the extended business plan. Whether they aspire to a retail
store or to their own law firm, each will leave with a
well-documented plan for starting and operating their own
business.

Intended to help develop higher-order thinking skills, these case
problems are developed on current business initiatives and events.
